Details of the Assessment...

The aim of our assessment is to gather information that we can use in order to create a child's individual program and to make sure that Tomatis Therapy would be of benefit. We do not assess people in order to give them a diagnosis.

The assessment generally takes about two hours, depending on the age of the client and what assessment procedures they can complete.

Typically for a child age 5 plus, the assessment will start with Pascal Maher (Clinical Director, Cluas), meeting the family and explaining briefly what Cluas does. The child will complete the assessment with a Tomatis Consultant; while Pascal, explains in detail the therapy we offer, discusses the child's developmental history and answers any questions the parent may have.

When the child has completed the assessment and the results are ready, these will be discussed with the parents and a recommendation will be made.

If we do not feel that Tomatis Therapy is the best option for a child we will refer them on.

Following the assessment, and at the parents convenience it is then possible to arrange therapy times.
